people asking how to use DD|LIVE, where stuff is and in particular, how to post comments - you no longer need to give your email address but abusive/ dodgy posts will be deleted and you'll be barred from the site.

It’s all way too much for us so we’ve recruited Sheila Blige, to explain it all to you.

LET'S TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Bank holiday started well enough, at a birthday party at Soho House on Friday night.   Fast-forward 7 hours and we're at a party and helping the exhausted host out by getting everybody out at 5am… and taking them to a sauna to party on before a house-viewing - a whole other story...

READY, SET, GO! (but where?!)

Well, it's just after 10am and we're already clock-watching.  Last decent summer (potentially) bank holiday and the half-day is booked - tho that's for a boring mortgage broker meeting?!

Anyhoo, we've a quick run down of what's hit our radar below (just 'continue reading') and a date with Soho to keep ASAP.

Well, what do you know – we have a regular weekend on our hands. 

No London-based Pride (check out Manchester Pride) and no Bank Holiday (next weekend…), just what passes for normal.  So, what've we got?  Horny goings on in Vauxhall, our best efforts to save you cash and a new club night - not in Vauxhall but Queen Mum country, the East End. 

SENSE OF ADVENTURE - DISCUSS

Are we getting too la di dah or boring for our own good?!  Too posh to slum it?! We ask as we heard a detailed conversation in the pub the other night about the state of some clubs Vs the cash you pay to get in?  It's fine to complain when you're being ripped off, but could we be ruining our future by expecting clubs, even ones charging just a few quid and run out of love, to lay it all on? Are we just a herd of drones?!  Or do we like comfort and reassuring and familiar surroundings in our old age?

We made reference to the problems gay men face in certain countries the other day. Please take a mo to read on....

Dear Friends,

I write this mail in English so I won't have to do it twice.

I send you a link to an online petition. It condemns the excecution in july of two Iranian boys (Mahmoud Asgari aged 16, and Ayaz Marhoni, 18 years old) because of their homosexual relationship. Attached is a picture of the boys, minutes before they were excecuted.

Human rights groups claim the government of Iran excecuted more than 4000 gays and lesbians over the past 25 years. That's more than one person every 3 days. This must be stopped.

Please sign the form, and forward this message to as many people as possible. It's easy to be cynical and say it isn't going to help. But not doing anything CERTAINLY isn't going to make a difference.

BRIGHTON PRIDE WEEKEND

The weekend stands before us like a dirty wh*re in front of a mirror getting ready for a night out:) We've got a quick rundown (!) of Friday and then our Traditional Pull Out and Keep Souvenir Special Guide to Brighto & Hove Pride.

FRIDAY has the  reliable regulars  plus something new flashing up on our radar a new night that frankly promises to shock... BUBBLEGUM at Factory - up for a night of 80s pop and TV show themes?  We hope they get onto the promised 'anthems' sooner rather than later but heck, they'll be 'having a laugh'.
