VAUXHALL SAVED - WAITROSE COMETH!

Our Waitrose Vauxhall Alert system went wild this morning with multiple warnings - near miss or an actual real event?!  We kept our hopes down as we checked our facts but it's true: there's a small Waitrose on a collission course with Vauxhall bus station.  It'll be under the new Travelodge.  Completion of the building is due in the year of our Lord (Coe), 2012 - here's hoping sooner rather than later.

CLEANER AVAILABLE

Need a good cleaner?  After running through several Alex has found a great woman who does and does it well!  Finding somebody to help's a regular email the site gets so we thought we'd share the info. Her name's Angela and she's professional.  Ring Alex on 07803 619 158 for more info.

WATER WORKS

Water, water everywhere everywhere... Good news: water will work at the weekends, according to emails from Peverel. Jeni's the Customer Service Manager, to be precise. She appears on the ball.

However... the works to do it are on-going internally with paint on floors etc. We've also contacted them about this and our contact appears to be on the case - contractors coming back to repair, clean up, etc.  Not always properly and she's chasing.

Here's hoping. 

TV TROUBLE

Not of the usual cross-dressing kind but of the lousy television reception kind. Apparentlyvthe communal aerial's gone wonky and needs fixed. This affects those with good old-fasioned terrestrial and Freeview.

It has been reported and should be fixed within a couple of days.

HUDONS HOUSE OF HORRORS!

Roll-up roll-up to Hudson's, the Dry cleaners little house of horrors!  Marvel at the Butcher of Trousers, the Spot on the Tie that Grows and Grows each time you send it back!  Be amazed at how dirty your flat still is after they've sent their cleaners!

Yes, just a heads-up as over drinks at the Riverside we all realised that we'd had a horror of a time at Hudson's.  Do please post a comment of your good experiences...
