The US have made launched a preliminary planning application to Wandsworth Council. The plans show a large building where the sorting office currently is - meaning this might be the first time people with a work ethic have ever inhabited the site. There's no design yet as there's to be a competition so you just get an idea of location and potential scale. The insides we can only imagine in our worst nightmares given their track record for alternative yet pointless interview techniques.
Whilst it's got a large footprint it's not wide and sprawling and doesn't fill the site - no doubt to keep it away from potential car bombs etc. It could however be twenty stories high meaning a loss of some light for us.
There are also significant changes to the roads around that industrial area and a mention of changes to Nine Elms Lane.
