There was a burglary on the 13th floor on Saturday morning at 8.30am. A guest left, didn't lock the door. Three people were asleep and somebody opened the door and quickly made off with a laptop. Police called, St George alerted, CCTV may have results...
So be aware.
Hi Sabine, many thanks for your quick response to my request. Glad to hear every one is looking out for each other. Will let you know if I go ahead with the purchase!

Hi Murli
Have a look at Chris' response to a similar question under 'Snagging List'.
The Wharf is a GREAT place to live, a real community and safer than most places. There have been a few unfortunate incidents; but as residents we've made an effort to stamp out any anti-social behaviour (after all, we're very social!) and assist in making the place as secure as possible.
I hope you enjoy living here as much as we do!

Hi there, I am a prospective new resident at St George Wharf. Could any one please advise me if there are any major security issues or other issues that I should know about? Is St George a good safe place to live or not?
Any feedback would be a great help.

***SECURITY NEWS ALERT 19 MAY 2009***
TO ALL RESIDENTS:
PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW ANYONE INTO THE BLOCK - THAT INCLUDES PEOPLE DELIVERING LEAFLETS. SOMEONE GAINED ACCESS TODAY AND HAD FREE RUN OF THE WHOLE BLOCK, DELIVERING LEAFLETS TO EACH INDIVIDUAL FLAT.
IF YOU SEE ANYONE LETTING THESE PEOPLE IN, PLEASE CHALLENGE THEM AND REPORT IT.
SOMETIMES THE CLEANER WEDGES OPEN THE FRONT DOOR. IF YOU SEE THIS PLEASE TELL HER NOT TO DO THIS AND REPORT IT TO PEVEREL OR CONCIERGE.
THANK YOU.
