Two neighbours reported today's graffiti to the concierge who have been comparing the times the graffiti appears with date stamped video footage. The scary current theory is that it isn't kids but a resident. They're therefore asking everybody to report times the vandal strikes so that they can catch them. You also need to report the times and anybody you see doing it to Notting Hill - they operate a zero tolerance policy on damaging property and we can the evict the errant tenant.
So, spot it, report it, help stop it. We all love our home and it's horrible that this happens to us but working together we can stamp this kind of abuse out. Let's not let one person bring us down to their level.
*abused by rougher residents in Hobart and Kestrel*
Apologies I'm about to purchase a property in Hanover House. Is there a logical reason why the people in Hanover are deemed 'less rough'? Is there some special allocation to key workers in Hanover compared to Hobart and Kestrel? OR is this purely by coincidence or a biased perception because this is a blog for hannover.
I guess my main question is: is your statement that residents in Hobart and Kestrel are rougher strongly correlated to how the housing association have alloacted units or purely coincidental and observation.
Another question:
Do you foresee the regeneration in 9elms and the US embassay helping reduce the anti socail behavior?
thank you.
Anyone with comments please drop me an email at cjstudios *at* gmail *dot* com I'd apprecaite any insight I can get before purchasing.

Mandy: most have reached the conclusion that the management are wide boy cowboys well on the make milking everything they can. There are some great staff but I'd be wary of the senior lot. Whatever the truth, your own experience is not unusual here or at other Peverel managed estates.

Hi folks
Linda: comments from people are nice but we need to manage that interaction or our site will be unmanageable. I don't have time to deal with all the queries nor set up individual areas for all the different parts of St George and other Berkely property residents who've engaged with it. If it's work it needs to remain focussed. I do however offer proper advice where i can - seventeen times since October and that's enough thank-you without setting up a much more complicated and elaborate website for all those I mentioned above.
Simon: concierge are surprisingly well paid according to the statements the main residents association got hold off. Worth noting that they had a cushy life before looking after barely occupied flats with rich folks who probably tipped them. They also have Windsor Resident Syndrome: just because they live near the castle, they think they're royalty themselves. They're not and whilst there are some gems, most are lazy buggers glued to their seats or on the phone running up the annual £10,000 phone bill they ring up down there. Sadly for us, they've no doubt been abused by rougher residents in Hobart and Kestrel and we're pigeon holed with them. Be nice to the good ones tho as they're professional but bare in mind there's probably a reason the unpleasant catatonic ones are doing that job so badly: shame for the good ones with manners who carry them thanks to not suffering from Windsor Resident Syndrome.
Do appreciate what we pay for tho: no key holding or parcel delivery officially. That's why we pay 1/2:) Everything else you can expect them to do but depends if you get the old princess etc or the nice ones.

There seems to be some really nice professional working people in Hanover house but man there are some really annoying people who do slam doors at all hours and play music at all hours and I go to work half asleep.
I have complained to NHH but they say there is very little they can do and have advised me to contact the local authority. Also vandals really messed up my bike recently, they could not steal it so they caused as much damage as possible, when I reported it the concierge and when I told them my unit number they said 'oh it's the affordables', and told me there was nothing they could do and suddenly became very disinterested.
Apparently NHH know who it is but nothing seems to ever get done.
I am quite disappointed with this shared ownership scheme and can't wait to sell up and move on, it's expensive and because it's shared ownership the service is very substandard.

Gavin, I live in Hanover House however I would have thought that contributions/comments from others living in St. George Wharf would be welcome .... I can only speak for myself that they are.

Linda
Are you talking about Hanover House for which this blog is intended?

I am one of the very unfortunate shared ownership tenants of Notting Hill Housing Trust. There are a great many decent people living in our buildings here at SGW, however, we have far too many non working, non contributing neighbours who hang out in the buildings with their non working friends, slamming doors at all hours, roaring music, smoking in the halls, wandering the halls, dropping rubbish, vandalising .... the list is endless and the situation has become worse over the 3+ years I've lived here. If I sound fed up - I AM. I continue to report incidences to Notting Hill who were at one stage sending patrol officers out. I do hope that anyone experiencing anti-social behaviour from neighbours takes the time to phone/email as this is the only way the situation will improve. Thanks.

I've been living in Hobart House for over 3 years and there have been soooo many problems with anti social behaviour.
When I look out of my window the place looks like a damp as some residents throw their rubbish out of their windows...disgusting!
As Linda said we all need to keep contacting Nottinghill.

Hi I live in Kingfisher House, hidden in the corner and a shared ownershiper. The last couple of months we have a major surge in Vandalism, People Just dropping cigrette ends on the floor and throwing drinks at walls - the place looks like a right mess!
I'm not sure what sort of people they have let in here recentley but there are a lot of thugs and friends of thugs hanging around all hours.
I spoke to Nottinghill and they've said they have a number convition notices and ever court cases going through at the moment, but there is nothing they can do!
Does anyone else experiance this lack of respect to there buliding at such an extent or is just our buliding!
Thanks

I have found Notting Hill to be very ineffective in dealing with/evicting those guilty of antisocial behaviour. We continue to phone them and report issues but it seems very little is being done. In fact it almost seems more and more undesireables are being allowed into Hobart and Hanover Houses. Spare a thought for the majority of decent people from these buildings. Notting Hill have alot to answer for. We all need to keep the pressure on ... phonecalls, emails etc., reporting and demanding action.

Sadly the graffiti vandal is at it again. In the same style as the ones by the lift, but the location has changed to the wall at the top of the steps on the first floor. They wrote YOU SUCK in huge letters. I'll report it to the Building Manager tomorrow.
Vandal, if you're reading, please, tell us, what's your point?

I dont think the concierge service will hold packages for us, certainly they have never held one of mine, however if you are certain that the package was signed for by a member of St Georges Staff and not just a made up name ( and you would need to be pretty certain of this), then there are two options
1. Consider suing St George Wharf/Peveral
or
2. Make a report of theft to the Police for further investigation
I think they do normally sign letters and packages into a book from memory.
Also dont be afraid to contact the issuing company and explain the situation. If the seat are individually numbered then they MAY be prepared to re-issue tickets at the venue on production of the method of payment. From memory Steve Whittaker can SOMETIMES be of help as well
sorry cant be more help

I'm a resident in Bridge House and is on battle with Peverel for nearly a month. Please take extra care of all the special delivery post and recorded post which you are expecting.
A month ago I have ordered two concert tickets which cost £140 pounds. The concierge signed for the package but misplaced it. I chased up the concierge but they denied they have received the package. In fact, I have a proof of signature from Royal Mail -- it is clearly show that Wilson has signed for it. I complaint to Peverl and asked them to investigate this issue and request a compensation. It's been more than a month but I still don't have a proper respond from them apart from denial. Since two weeks ago, the concierge doesn't collect my parcels. I have to collect them from the post office. My response from Kelly (the assistant manager) is that Royal Mail decided this decision. Honestly, it is a total lie as I haven't reported this incident to Royal Mail. I talked to Kelly few time already and she just made up new stories everytime.
I'm very disappointed with the management service. Can anyone give me advice?
