BUDAPEST PRIDE SOLI PARTY

You may have heard of the problems that Budapest Gay Pride organisers have had - being banned because it "will hinder the flow of traffic". It now seems to be going ahead 18/19 June and Möbel Olfe are devoting their Monday solidarity party to them. DJs Nikolaj Tange Lange and Marsmädschen will provide music and there is a live performance. That's Monday June 6 at Möbel Olfe, Kotbusser Tor, Kreuzberg.

HELP CHILDREN

Monday 1st March Möbel Olfe are having a fund raiser for a Berlin and an Istanbul school. The schools have formed a partnership, they are both in poor areas of their cities and some of the children would like to visit each other. But they can't afford it and have been raising money for the trips. Möbel Olfe are dedicating Monday 1st March to a fund-raising evening to help. Möbel Olfe - DD review

Möbel Olfe is a very popular mixed / gay bar in Kreuzberg Berlin. It gets so popular that it can be difficult to move. It's also difficult to find at the bottom of a disused 10 storey furniture store. You have to negotiate 50m of concrete and paving. Check DD's the gay Berlin map. The friendly staff work hard and have a good variety of beers and other drinks. We were there at 3am one morning. It wasn't so crowded, but that was OK, and we met lots of nice people. They say that Thursday nights are the gayest night.  Its a good place to meet or drop in for a drink if you are out in Kreuzberg.
