Fantastic to see great nights making the odd appearance in Vauxhall - maybe helping and creating a movement to flush out the dreadful nights and tacky g head punters which are nothing more than the gay equivalent of the always ridiculed Essex or similar white stiletto clubs - very brassy, overly made up, dancing to a load of repetitive rubbish week in week out.
So its good to see these alternatives hosting nights but my hope is that they only pay the odd visit and remain in their true surroundings and not allow the Vauxhall scene to dilute and wreck them.

Jack - you really have not been to Twist have you? it's far from straight. lol. it's a crowd that's proud not to be lumped in with a sexual identity. They are there for one thing; - the music. And hard house is not the way describe our music. It's definately hard but covers more areas of funky techno, groovy sexy ass shaking hard nrg, uplifting but driving.
Trade is most certainly bears no resemblance to.

So no gay brands for NYE? I hear Union (ex Crash) has a straight hard house night on...

So no NYE Juicy then? Interesting

I think TrailerTrash at Fire will be amazing though, and could bring in a very odd mix of people (odd=good)

Di, have you ever been to Trailer Trash or Mulletover?? :-D

Di

"Trailer" "Trash" ~ "Mullet" "Over"
Kinda sums it up so well!

yeah it's kind of bizarre! but it's nice to see vauxhall grow beyond it's gay clubbing roots.. and actually a few years back there was a crew of us that would do Trailer Trash at On the Rocks and head straight to Fire for A:M afterwards every weekend, back when A:M was solid. It made for a very exciting if demanding Friday night.. shoreditch and vauxhall gays really can mix. ;-)

Pistolpete

Mulletover at Area?
Trailertrash at Fire?

What's going on?

Answer:
It's the painfully slow and very predicted death of Vauxhall in it's current state.

WAKE UP FOLKS.. the world is moving on (it has moved on long ago).
You can't play Toca's Miracle and Sweet Dreams etc etc 9 times in 1 night and still get away with it.

It's just an embarrassingly painful legacy of mediocre djs that London has to deal with now. How can they play Toca's miracle 9 times in a night for months and months on end and expect to get away with it?
Do they give their djs a play list or something?

Some nice soulful electronic music:
