To end the month of November we have an exclusive Retox party planned for Sunday 30th… Joining our residents upstairs we welcome along very special guest, Mirko Loko!
Hailing from Switzerland, Mirko has earned many plaudits with his productions and djing alike. Performing all around the globe, he’s held residencies at New York’s infamous Tronic Treatment party and at the Loft club in Switzerland where he now resides.
As well as his solo productions he has recorded under the moniker of Fat Lazy People with Ripperton. Fusing tribal rhythms with deep electronic house and techno sounds, Mirko’s rich and emotive music is supported by a slew of underground luminaries including Carl Craig, Derrick May, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Luciano, & Richie Hawtin.
His release highlights included singles for Carl Craig’s incredible Planet E imprint, Matthew Jonson’s Wagon Repair label, on James Holden’s Border Community, and on Luciano’s Cadenza records, the latter artist of which Mirko has just put out a collaborated release on Desolat. We look forward to giving him a warm welcome on Sunday night…
Downstairs, we welcome along Werner to retox with us. From his days working at Flying Records and engineering for their Chillifunk label, he has progressed to become involved in several production outputs with forthcoming releases and remixes scheduled on Mojuba (Wandering), Mina, Mobilee, Moodmusic, Catwash and his Audio Culture label. He’s played at various leading establishments around the globe and is well tuned into the Sunday sonic tonic with his regular sets at the monthly Clandestino party at The End. Werner will be joined by our retox residents and Locomosquito (who will be celebrating his birthday).
Doors open at 9pm and the party runs through till 6am.
We hope you can join us!

RETOX SPECIAL SUNDAY 7TH DECEMBER
SOSHO, 2 TABERNACLE STREET, LONDON, EC2A
9PM – 6AM
We have a super special RETOX party to kick off the month of December on Sunday 7th at Sosho. Joining us upstairs will be very special DJ/Producer & UK house hero, Yousef!
Bitten by the acid house bug at legendary rave metropolis 'Shellys' in 1991 after watching some of the first live sets from Carl Cox and Prodigy, Yousef has, since then, grabbed the global industry by the scruff of the neck, forcing his way in through sheer talent and determination. Residencies at Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance and most notably Cream set him on his path to the global circuit, where Yousef quickly became synonymous as one of dance music's global figures, a position he still holds to great acclaim.
We first hooked up with him many moons ago by releasing his critically acclaimed UCMG/TIDE:EDIT CD, and subsequent albums followed on Renaissance, DMC, Cream, & of course Circus, his current acid house party that boasts a cataclysmic collection of dance musics leading players. His productions can be found on labels that include JBO, CR2, Sony, as well as his own Carioca imprint, and his remix talents span right across the board including Jamiroquai, Justice, & Carl Cox.
His sets feature a mature and broad musical taste twisting through house, techno and electronica, we are sure he will raise the roof of Sosho this Sunday night!
Downstairs this week we welcome along Bigger Deer Recordings with head honcho Lewis Ryder & special guest, Maher Daniel! This years resident at Space/Ibiza, Lewis has been confirmed for the 2009 season also, so things are on the up! His recently launched label, BDR, has hit djs from right across the board, the latest offering featuring a remix from our next guest, Maher Daniel who is flying in from Montreal, Canada. Maher can be caught gracing the decks on a frequent basis at one of North America’s best clubs, Stereo Afterhours, serenading the crowd with throbbing bass lines and blissful melodies. His production skills have clearly excelled, boasting a solid 12 releases on labels such as Sick Watona, Pure Substance and Reversible Records, as well as forthcoming releases on Symphonic and new imprint Harem Records by production duo Sultan and Ned Shepard, the latter two of which have asked him to run their A&R at Harem. We look forward to welcoming them both down.
The party starts at 9pm and goes through till 6am, when the Monday morning carry on take over – details on the night…
