Pagano feat Stewart Who "Back to the Future" is now available on beatport.
Since somebody on this thread asked.
Great mix from Danny Verde who was great at Revolver 2 weeks ago, too bad Revolver is taking a break :(

I don't think that London is the most cutting edge city for clubbing any more. Paris is catching up but Berlin is by far the most cutting edge. I am thinking of BERGHAIN.
Like Pete I was also at la DEMENCE on Friday boy are those boys sexy.
It must have best and biggest and busiest darkrooms on the entire planet!
The next party is on:
FRIDAY 6 MARCH DELICE BOYS
Book the Eurostar NOW!
http://www.lademence.com/
Or better still make a full weekend of it go to LA DEMENCE, then the after party at LE MACHO SAUNA, then go to RED&BLUE in Antwerp.

There is also a special MEZZO GIORNIO International men party on SUNDAY 22nd FEB @ 3PM to 2AM at the Red&Blue venue.

Have you been recently at either matinee or supermartxe ???
I think you will find that market had a similar line up on the mainfloor then matinee with Pagano and Nick Tcherniak
Also I know for sure Matinee decided to move out of fabric on they own they own terms.
fabric where still happy to host the night with the 800+ turnout they had on Sunday nights.
They have been offered a Saturday night stint at the Colosseum which they have successfully taken on.
In my opinium they turnend Vauxhall fading clubbing scene round.
I cant comment on Revolver tho...

The Light tends to fill up with city suits on Fridays when the music is more tame, but Saturdays are almost always a hit there and the upstairs club at only £2 cover is a steal.
I agree that the format for events like Supermartxe and Revolver is really not that much different from G-A-Y. Commercial music, a live act, male narcissism, dancers, etc. Literally all they need to do is add the balloon drop.
Anyway back to my request-- anyone know the name of the track on the Pegano Trade 18th Birthday Mix playing about 9 minutes in?
Posted by: Pandolf | Monday, 09 February 2009 at 11:33
There is plenty of cutting edge music in London, just not at the mainstream gay clubs.
I went to Micron at the Light in Shoreditch on Saturday, had a great time.... minimal/tech and the atmosphere was spot on.
And look at Fabric - they got rid of Matinee in favour of more tech sounds (wys/market)... what does that tell you about the state of gay music??

Hey Pete
I agree with you that there are to many European brands taking over the London club scene but have you been to Revolver ??
I went there last week Saturday and loved it.
Great crowd and venue and Pagano is playing too ....
Its a brand which is born in London even tho its promoted by the same team who promote Matinee.
Its well worth a visit.

Speaking of Pagano, just back from Brussels where I heard him play the main set Saturday morning just gone from 3am to 6am at La Damence. Imagine 1200 of the sexiest men from Holland, France and Belguim and a few of us Brits all going crazy to him. Amazing! Could see he was enjoying himself, what a room to play in. If there is one club that reminds me of Trade in its heyday back in the the 90's, its La Damence (and no Francesco, I am not jules!!! and there are no rules either!!!!!!!) There seems to be a real trend in all things Spanish at present in London which I have mixed views on. Yes Pistol Pete, I agree with you to a point that London might be back on it but I feel thats more to do with Wetyourself then another Spanish club: i.e 'supermarche' Its a shame that there are no new London club brands for the house music lovers that are breaking through and that we have to look to Spain for inspiration? I guess i will be keeping my t shirt on alot more this year when I go dancing!

And more to the point.....when is the next Trade?????
Come back!! We miss you!!!!

I know… the afterparty didn’t take off as planned and the police presence I believe messed logistics and moods around a bit.
Even in 30ish we had a lovely time though and stayed till 7.30pm dancing to groovie laidback tech-house tunes with a rare PA by la fab Malice.
The aim was to have a kind of staff afterparty to chill and relax after the hard work in producing and running TRADE, where everyone who felt to was invited to attend.
Just a review…

Thank you sir that tune is FIERCE (girl).
Will keep my eyes out for it's release!

Hi, I love that track as well, it's my favourite track from Pagano but unfortunately it hasn't been released yet.
Track title is Pagano feat Stewart Who "Back to the future (Go forward)".
Posted by: wop | Saturday, 01 November 2008 at 08:10
The after party was pretty much a non-event, I'm sorry to say - we were there some time around 5, and there were literally only 20 people there. Shame, after such a great morning.
Presumably the police presence/search discouraged many, perhaps also the trek North? How busy would one normally expect a Trade after party to be?
The (female but whose name I can't now remember) DJ was rather handy on the violin, though.

Here's the Pagano mix:

Fantastic free CD it's Pagano at his best! If anyone can tell me the name of the Stewart Who d...ddd...disco vocal near the end of the mix I'll be very happy!
Posted by: nx | Friday, 31 October 2008 at 20:36
what was the afterparty like? has anyone managed to put the free cd on a download site anywhere?
Posted by: robert | Friday, 31 October 2008 at 12:42
Yes! My anti-Guru Josh campaign is gathering momentum!
It sounds like a fucking daytime soap opera theme. I don't understand it's popularity.
